I am still stunned. Been a while since I enjoyed a game so much. Congrats to MI and Cory! They made the impossible happen.

He could have bowled it off the pitch

Commentators are saying that a wide would mean the ball would not have counted as a legitimate ball. Bowl it again and that would have been enough.

A wide would have ended the game though? 1 to win bowl a wide game over.

Edit: nm, i get it. they then would have won in the 14.3 overs.

The game would have ended but they would still be on 14.3 overs, which is what they needed to win in.

So KKR are the first team to make the final of IPL 2014. Kings XI have lost but they are not out of it yet. They will have another crack at the final when they meet the winner of the eliminator between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, about to take place in Mumbai. Kings XI's second chance will be on Friday.

^ this

KKR were too good for King IX today.

220 was on the cards at some stage. If it weren't for the 6, they'd be roving around 167. 170, has that "big score" psychology.

Doubt CSK's losing with Dhoni there...

So Mumbai now out of the tournament. Chennai are up against Kings IX on Friday in the final eliminator. Should be the match of the tournament if both teams show up with their A game.
