What's the take up on these models in 2014;the last of the breed...my guess they would appeal to the person who must carry all their music...

Incl free Danny K earphones!

I loved my iPod Classic! A must for a person with a very large music library. A little warning though, because they are rare, they are massive targets for theft... I've gone through 3 of them now, all of them having been stolen from me in various ways.

As a music player, it's honestly not the best, with almost no customisation and the Audio quality not being the best you can get but, it's the only music player I know of that can handle 160gb of music. If I had the 3.8k to drop on a new music player, I would buy myself a 2nd hand android phone, plug in a 64gb memory card, pay for PowerAmp on the Play Store and save the R1000+ for something else ;)

Why not just subscribe to simfy for R60 per month and have all the music at your fingertips...i'm investigating this option...
I lost my ipod, got quite a big itunes library on home pc, looking at other options now...

Still rock my 120gb. And they are excellent. I have a huge music library. When I'm commuting I use it with my Sennheiser earbuds. When I'm in my car , just slide it into my Ipod cradle and I got a huge selection of music at my fingertips. That's versatility.

Cant believe they still being sold at such a crazy price. I had one and it was incredible. Great great device till it decided to jump onto bricks and die.

If i could get one for cheap i would definitely get another one

I've still got my ipod photo :o
