I'm a die hard Android fan but I'm looking for a mp3 player that has Bluetooth capabilities..

The iPod touch seems like the only choice as from what I can gather its basically a iPhone without the phone capabilities? Right?

Does ios5 run on the latest iPod touch? Is it identical to the iPhones os? Can one for instance add a exchange email account on it?

Yes to all questions.

I don't know that it is the only one. But the BT aspect is a little restricted. OK if you want to run BT headsets and keyboards, not OK if you want to control the Touch's filesystem from your computer or vice versa. You WILL use iTunes!

The Touch loses the phone part of the iPhone - that is obvious. Less obvious is that it also lacks the GPS capacity. Get it into a wi-fi area though and it will let you do your email, skype, antisocial networking (oops), read your e-books and so on. Skyped my sister in Holland on the Touch just last night, in fact.

If playing games on the Touch is important to you, get a US or Kenyan iTunes account, not a South African one. Instructions can be found all over this forum. Apart from that, the iPod Touch can be either a PDA that plays music or a music player that organises your life. Up to you, really.

I get withdrawal symptoms when mine is out of reach.

Thanks for the detailed response.
