Considering that the US is by far the biggest importer of oil in the world I think they will hurt more than anybody else with runaway oil prices.
 
All this talk of an American attack on Iran is so utterly pointless. It is just simply not going to happen.

I'm sure if the American's did plan to attack Iran the first thing they would do is move a couple of their battlegroups into the area and establish immediate sea and air superiority. I doubt an Iranian blocked would last more than a day.
 
dont forget that russia and china are with iran...Russia wouldnt want another american base so close to its boarders...and neither does china.

At the very least Israel will.


I'm sure if the American's did plan to attack Iran the first thing they would do is move a couple of their battlegroups into the area and establish immediate sea and air superiority. I doubt an Iranian blocked would last more than a day.

Iran can fire one shot and there will be no more maritime insurance for any tanker to pass through the strait. There's a $25 increase in oil prices right there.

Considering that Iran is Sout Africa's biggest supplier of oil then yes, it is definitely our problem.

i agree israel would most likely push for it, but i think the US is getting gatvol with israel as there not really providing anything to the US other than trouble. Fair, Pres. Mahmoud said he wanted to wipe israel off the map, America kinda wiped off Afghanistan and Iraq, etc etc...so yeah, to me, stupid bush administration is a bigger threat to world stability...

I doubt a business relationship of that magnitude in this day and age is going to be tossed out of the window.

that's not the way they see it stix. "Regime change" is necessary for the US to further their oil interests. Like Iraq, amidst all that chaos, the US is controlling the oil...not the "free" iraqis. Problem is, all sh1tty plans backfire...now more terrorist and people hating america...
