and Bush wasnt!!!

Who said anything about Bush??? I didn't.

Whatever Bush was does not detract from the fact that Mahmoud Ahmenijad is a certified grade A basket case!

The USA has had nuclear weapons since the late 1940s... they have never used them on anybody since then. You would think that if they were so readily available to Bush and his other "clowns" they would have used them already on an anemy.

Iran does not yet have any nuclear weapons, but I wouldn't trust them five minutes if they did have one.

Let's just refresh for ourselves what kind of nation we are talking about here...

They hang people from cranes is the street - public executions. They hang people for being gay or christian. They stone people. They throw big rocks at them for having an affair or for getting raped. They sponsor terror organizations around the world to go and blow up innocent people.

If you are OK with all of that... then fine.

You see, you can't prove a negative.

Please don't get caught up in the myth that negatives can't be proven. They can. Perhaps not all negatives because then we'd be in a debate about religion - again! But some negatives certainly can be. Such as the example you tried to use. You made a claim about a bomb being in a mine shaft and the simple truth on this is that inspection will prove whether it is there or not.

But the point about endless searches is that they stop because we get bored (or you find the spacecraft that brought the Mayans to Earth) and then start using other concepts such as probability to rationalise our thinking. That immediately raises the issue about the absoluteness of the proof required - sometimes you need it, sometimes you don't. Sort of the difference between mathematicians and engineers I suppose.

One power holding the balance of nuclear power is very bad for the world as a whole and makes the likelihood of a nuclear attack far more likely.

It depends more on who has the bomb.

I feel a lot safer with the USA having hundreds of the things that I do with the thought of Iran having just one.

Israel has nuclear power, America has nuclear power. whats the big deal?
By launching satellites, maybe they'll find WMD's in Iraq cos the US never found anything, but their satellite images (shown by Colin Powell in 2003 before invading Iraq) found them in a way that Zapiro could never ever have managed.

About the WW3 comments, according to Nostradamus, world war 3 will start in august 2001 when 2 missiles will be fired into the "new city". 9/11 has already happened and according to what I've read (maybe not Nostradamus this time), the americans will attack three of four countries one by one (Think Afghanistan and Iraq and they now itching to get Iran into the ring) but the last country will fight back and thats when its gonna be "America's time has come".
The US has taken troops out of Iraq but have increased the amount of troops into Afghanistan and there are claims that a minimum of 10 body bags are being sent back to the US every day from fighting in Afghanistan
Has the war started?
What do you think?
