Ironbound Proto Drake

Same as any other protodrake ... just different colour + mount speed. Blizzard's lazyness is really starting to shine through.

IMO the alar mount from Kael in TK was, and is the most special mount out there still up to date.

Having a black protodrake already means I will be farming for a different colour drake. Not much incentive really.
 
Personal view but those proto drakes are just plain butt ugly period.

They look like a bull frog with wings, and even fly like they have something stuck somewhere, I prefer the the classic drakes series at the moment and hope that in some future acheivements they buff the drakes to look like dragons.
 
I helped my guild mates secure their red proto drakes after completing all the heroic achievements (I had to interrupt the gundrak mourabi dude from turning into the mammoth - what a ball ache with our lag)... I must say - the absolute best class for it is shadow priest, since it makes the drake PITCH black unless selected. It looks like Nazgul flying around.

I have to agree with Pornolio on the Alar Ashes "Phoenix" flying mount ... afaik only cancer kid from the reach-a-dream foundation initiative got one from Blizzard. Having one must be amazing. (The mount, not the kid)

I've secured the Winterspring saber and the Zulian Tiger, so apart from the raptor (which I'll pass to my mate who helped me get the zulian) the only ground mounts I'm still keen for are the bird from Sethekk halls and Midnight that drops off Attumen in Karazhan.

I've never really bothered with flying ones aside from the CoT drake. I'm quite keen to get the 50-mounts drake award though...even though it is a bit overly albino looking.
