Irregular External Hard Drive

I have a CipherWave 2.0 External USB 2.0 Hard Drive. Sometimes my PC and Laptop recognize it and other times they don't. SOmetimes it's visible for a moment and then disappears.
Any ideas how to solve this?

Cipherwave.....thats most likely the culprit. Do yourself a favour, unscrew the casing and throw it away, cause its cheap ****. I've had bad issues in the passed with HiFi corp no name brand *** and that includes Matrix. Go online and get yourself a decent casing. What HD is it? 2.5 or 3.5? cyberyne.co.za are having a promo on good 3.5 casings.
