I'm using Firefox 3 on Ubuntu and I'm getting this irritating error:

Code:
Error

    We're sorry...

... but your query looks similar to automated requests from a computer virus or spyware application. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now.

We'll restore your access as quickly as possible, so try again soon. In the meantime, if you suspect that your computer or network has been infected, you might want to run a virus checker or spyware remover to make sure that your systems are free of viruses and other spurious software.

If you're continually receiving this error, you may be able to resolve the problem by deleting your Google cookie and revisiting Google. For browser-specific instructions, please consult your browser's online support center.

If your entire network is affected, more information is available in the Google Web Search Help Center.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope we'll see you again on Google.

I presume it's because of the damn SAIX proxy.

It's just very irritating having to decipher the bloody CAPTCHA all the time.

Yeah I get it about once a week. I dont understand.. Im always logged into my google account. You would recon after so many years of answering yes to their captcha... they would have realized I am human by now.

I'm getting it every time I go to google.

It must be the proxy setup that Telkom in their infinite wisdom use...

Well I go through SAIX and I dont have it that often. You arent running off a live cd or anything like that?

Nope. Full AMD64 Intrepid install with everything up to date.

I do have this problem more in Linux than Windows. Right now I am running Windows 7... got no hassles, but I know when I am logged into my linux installs.. I get it more than usual.

i get it now and again. infact, it is possible the error occurs only when i run windows. Do3 account.

I'm using a Windows XP machine on the same network and I only get the error on the Ubuntu box. I'm running firefox 3.0 on both machines.

I guess I'll just switch to Yahoo.

doubt its your internet connection or OS etc

Google checks a few things and if your search string is similar to something people use to mine data to hack other websites, it will block it.

so if you get that error search for something else ;)

type in tekken 5 and it will also give that error google can never be too carefull
