IS 4Mb Uncapped shaped - Performance? Gaming?

Ive been using an IS unshaped uncapped account for a while, no complaints other than a full line at times (our fault)
We are just testing the 4Mb uncapped shaped service now.
Http dwnds are good and the line is not saturated now however, I can do no gaming on it at all
I realise its shaped but at 2 in the morning when the line is about 5% full i still cant play for more than a couple of minutes on BFBC2 and guildwars wont update at all.

Does anyone here game at all on the 4mb IS uncapped? Does it work?

I use the 4MB uncapped line and its great for general things. Gaming does suffer a little with the latency and sometimes there's lag where you cannot play the games properly. Lag on average will be 150ms, this is OK but with a capped connection, lag is usually less than 50ms.

I play BFBC2 and most of the time it has been fine except on 2 occasions when the lag went to 500ms! Unplayable them.

Are you using the standard IS billion router?

I'm using Telkom's standard ADSL router that came with the installation.

Torrent traffic is not bad at all, on the 4MB line and with lots of SEEDS, u can get 450kb/s
