I cant get a straight answer on this from my broker and fine print isn't clear either.

The scenario is: If my top is slashed / damaged in an accident is the full replacement cost covered?.

I'm reading online that the soft-top is sometimes considered a wear item and thus not covered. The argument being that a top doesn't last the lifetime of a car and is expected to be replaced from time to time... I find this unreasonable but if this is the standard case, is anyone aware of insurers who will insure a top??

Thanks!

Have your broker query the policy's underwriter: that's their job.
