Is Adobe CS5 really all that?

Every time a new CS comes out I fail to notice any new program features that actually warrent bringing out an entirely new version (except for the moola for Adobe).

Most of what I currently work with are CS1 and CS2 versions - Photoshop, Indesign etc. I'm considering getting one of the master suite packages but since it's not a question of money - ya know what I mean ;) - is CS5 really SO much better that I should get that rather than the CS3 master suite, for example?

Cheers

I guess it really depends on what your main use is.

FYI I'm focused on digital painting (PS primary, AI secondary) and currently use CS5.

Guess the question is whether knowing what I know now; would I purchase the CS5 upgrade again... simple answer is NO I'd rather wait for CS6.

For interest's sake here is Adobe's comparison of the features changes in CS4 and CS5 (http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/photoshop/upgrade/?view=compare&PID=2159997)

As a final note: The mere fact that Adobe has seen the need to place this comparison on it's website; means that they too (in some adobe-esque way) realize that the additions have been lacklustre at best, hopefully with CS6 they will be pressurized into delivery real value for the cost of the upgrade. In my case (CS5) I prefer to now to wait until CS8 or later.

Yeah just depends on what you do or don't want. I am perfectly happy with CS4 and don't think I'll be upgrading anytime soon.
