I just wanted to sum up my feelings towards a company I have been with for 15 years.

1. Don't ever try to cover up a blunder with a lie. We are not idiots. We can see a cover-up campaign a mile away! Say - we messed up, we're sorry and give customer's great deals to try and lure them back. But lying will hurt more!

2. Get in touch with your competitors! I got a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 from Vodacom for over R500pm for 1GB of data. MTN has 2GB of data and a free pouch for R399. Get real. Stop being greedy. I am peeved off with myself for only seeing the MTN deal after getting mine. Wish I could cancel, but I can't. The price of data is horrific - it's no longer acceptable. Look at 8ta's deals!

3. Do something about your network. Getting only EDGE / GPRS is not good enough anymore! I've got very expensive devices that are capable of fast speeds, but on your network I only get EDGE / GPRS. I always get 3G on MTN. MTN's customer service sucks! Big time! But their network speeds are fantastic.

Just wanted to get it off my chess. Will I move my contracts at the end of the period? Yes I will. I am not happy to pay exorbitant prices any more. There is competition out there. Whoever gives me the better deal will get my money. Brand loyalty is something of the past.

I am also leaving Vodacom, going to go with CellC or 8ta, today's contracts are more about data, and if the "big" players cant deliver and continue to rip us a new one, then I am happy to move, thank **** for NMP so I don't lose my number :-)

Vodacom, listen up (you too MTN), you guys are going to lose a lot of customers, maybe not enough to hurt initially, but u burning bridges that wont be easily fixed. MTN lost me a few years back due to bad customer service, now VC will lose me due to ****ty data pricing models. 8ta and CellC want our business you guys don't!

All it takes is one good lawsuit against them. The want to breach contracts; they are reckless credit lenders; etc!

I'm going to move too. Tired of edge speeds, it's pathetic. Never mind the fact that the head dosn't know what the arse is doing.

Vodacom have always been greedy and money hungry. That is why i moved to MTN for my phone contract and Cell C for my Data.

The above mentioned networks have some real value for money, lets not forget 8ta with their great prices. If you ask Vodacom why you should go with their network even though its WAY over priced they will say 'For better customer service'. Thats a load of beeswax. I Have had terrible customer service with them and i am very glad i left their network 2 years ago!

Vodacom's phone & tablet contracts are insanely expensive.

Take the Samsung Galaxy S2. On my current contract, Talk75S (R190 a month), they want a R4129 pay-in for the phone. On CellC I can get the phone + 100 anytime minutes for R280 a month, no pay-in. MTN has it for a similar price, with no pay-in.

So my conclusion is that Vodacom has COMLETELY lost touch with their customers and reality.

I'm also gonna move soon. Thinking of joining the devil's lovechild, 8ta. :)

You're so right. It's very sad. I've been so loyal to Vodacom all these years and now they are forcing us to jump ship.
