Is anyone else experiencing problems with the Northriding tower? I still cannot get signal even though I stay in Bellaires Drive not even a kay from the tower.

WBS have written it off to a faulty unit, but I know for a fact that it works as I have used it at a mates house in Craigavon with no problems.

Now they want me to spend even more tom on an external arial to see if that will fix the problem!

I take it you mean the Olivedale/Northriding-BS? If so, then it's working ok for me, with the exception of the literal maintenance blackout WBS emailed about - there was no signal at around 02:00 this am from Olivedale-BS, apart from that my connection dropped only once since then:
09:33:59 smoothwall PPP has gone down on ppp0
and has been 'reasonable' since then.

Kempton was down, seems to be back now, probably just maintanence or some techy too bust playign CS to notice downtime

Yep, the new BS at Bahai Centre on Bellaires Drive. Before it was put up there was absolutely no signal. Now I get 1 green dot! Brilliant!

well today, ive managed to irc for 20 min so far without been disconnected *holds thumbs*

Well those time out from IRC, should just re connect to IBURST problem should be sorted, I had the same issue. So i decide to do that and guess, what my bandwidth updated. Maybe you lossing signal its just jumping.

This sounds like the same issue I had with Bryanston-BS - signal overshooting - AFAIK I am still connecting to Olivedale-BS and the max speed I have with full signal is 50kBytes/s on a multithreaded download - usually it is ~20kBytes/s max - but also messed with the speedlessness problems since Tuesday last week.

I hate to nitpick. I overlook spelling errors. I often overlook punctuation errors. I even overlook many grammatical errors. I'm not a nitpicker!

But Richard, you really need to do yourself (and us) a favour, and read your posts back to yourself before posting them. It really will help, because when I read your posts aloud they come out as pure Gibberish.

I think you'll find that punctuation in roughly the right places would also help.

Not that I want to nitpick, you undertand. ;)

I dont even know why I bother posting on a near dead thread. it's like trying to kill terri shiavo.

Just an idea...

Dave whilst you're contemplating whether or not to kill this or other iBurst threads, there is another thread that has been calling you for a while now - it has turned out to be something of a monster thread [post=171970]breadcrumbs here[/post], and it has been calling professori Dave Frankenstein to put it out of its misery...:D
