Ive been using AYCE for about 2 weeks now, can't really complain.
There are a couple of minor bugs.... eg.
It seems to slow down at midday well
to be honest real slow but the ping times are great...i dont understand it, some sites send a timeout page with a message gateway timed out, but the ping on the sites show 400ms consistently on a time to live??(could be DNS issue??)

Also there control panel shows that i used 3.24 gigs in one 24hr session, but when i compare it to my mrtg it doesn't ad up??

They seem to have a slower local ping and a very fast intl ping 100 - 200ms
better than Telkom accounts

Other than that it seems to be good value for money ;)
 
Goth - druid - I have not noticed even a single little teeny weeny bit of any kind of degradation at any time of the day.
My ADSL exchange is in Edevnvale - Gauteng.

I love the way you beat my times as well - 400x the distance and you get faster pings. Whatta world.

I think that someone @ AYCE was reading this post ....i just re-ran the tracert/traceroute and it was insane 10 - 11ms all the way ..lmao
 
1) yes using them ... previously using dotco ... alltogether over a year
2) A lot of pple here dislike them ... as AYCE doesn't really show much interest in the forum, and there are always compenitors on hand to give 'constructive' critisizm.
3) slow down during day ... happens on all ADSL lines

if u worried about myadsl opinions .. go for a normal adsl contract month-month with dotco for one month and see ... otherwise it's up to you ...

the only real problems I've seen is the mail server went down 4 times in the last year ... this is not a problem for me as I have my own backups ...

Also they do not have 24h support which should not really a prob (other then mail) cos if telkom line dies not much u can do anyway ...
 
well they dont show interest in this forum because majority of ppl on this forum work mweb, uunet etc so all they do is trash talk new company's thats why.

ayce shouldnt be any different to telkom it is setup exactly the way telkom is nothing different. i have home 384 and i dont notice any slow at anytime of the day.

this connection seems identical to the mweb i had before cept im getting another 27 gig for an extra R 160.00
 
for me the best thing i did was sign with their great offer and everyone here made me so scared when they where down yesterday i thought o well all those ppl where right they have flown the coop lol.
 
yup 3 gigs is nothing when i see i used a 30 gigs last and ive used around 12 gig this month and im paying 150 more than i was with mweb for 27 gigs more i just smile :)
