Well I guess it heavily depends if you allready have a device running Android or not, if you have one there probably no need to get another device with a slightly bigger screen just to lug around (7" instead of +/- 4") but getting a device with a 10" screen makes sence its the right size for ebooks (2 pages next to each other just like a real book) , movies, web browsing and gaming, to consider the upgrade...
As for price ,the iPad 1/2, Galaxy Tab, Motorola Xoom or even Dell Streak are way too expensive they all might be bleeding on the technology front but will kill your wallet, but the new A-pads or China pads are auctiolly a very good compromise as you can now get one with a 10" screen, 1ghz samsung processor, 512mb ram,GPS,WIFI, and Android 2.2 for $240 shipped ( R1950 ),but will have to sacrefice the capacitive touch screen with a resistance one, wich is not as bad as many would think and works better for drawing if you use the stylist...
