Literally my first interaction with them and even their help bot is stupider than a potato. Dafuq is that spelling even? Jinne - all I want to know is whether I can get FTTH at a business address or whether there's some red tape that requires a FTTB connection at almost double the price?

In my experience, no you wont be able to get FTTH at a Business premises.
This is maintly as aI understand it because of the FNO infra in place at Business Parks.
 
FNO will refuse to install they make more money off business clients and then they going to hit you with a "YOU HAVE TO HAVE A SLA". I was in company with only 5 people and 2 FNO's straight up said no

On vodacom at the moment. Speed is meh and as a company I can't stand them anymore. But ja - considering Afrihost or similiar LTE instead of using cybersmart.

Maybe. I just can’t suggest MTN ever to anyone ever again. They are a money laundering machine for the Iranians, so will never support them.

If MTN was the only option, I would move, or illegally connect via starlink.

Look at SMME packages. They are usually just a tad more expensive than FTTH, but also on GPON.

FTTB should be Active Ethernet, which is a lot more expensive to install, thus they charge more for it.
 
Yeah just depends on location, in some instances you can get home lines. Drop me a PM with the address and I can have a look.

Its a money-making racket.

Their so-called "business fibre" at office parks is literally the same thing in the ground, and, ironically my residential fiber has posted a better uptime than our building's providers most of the time lol.

They arent completely the same, but i agree you could rather have 2 low cost providers for better uptime vs one expensive model.
