Is Gauteng's/SA internet broken?

So since last week various users using various ISP have started complaining about slow internet speeds. Does anyone have an idea wtf is going on?

Conspiracy! Why has there been no general announcement stating what the hell is going on?

I too was expecting some general announcement.

The closest I could see was that iOS8 was released...lol

iOS 8 has had a massive impact. I've seen various bits of network infrastructure that are running 30-60% higher than normal.

Most ISPs only have about 10% spare on their ADSL network so a software release would cause congestion.

Its the iOS updates, but god forbid users use:

windows updates
steam
android updates
stream
< insert >

one iOS update and we are fecked :erm:
