From the Seacom twitter link,

"SEACOM is experiencing partial network interruptions which are unrelated to the configuration work taking place in the Arabian Sea.

EDIT: "We are liaising with our partners to establish the reasons. It is expected that customers in eastern & southern Africa will be affected.

Hey Friends,

As it is Friday, the Seacom International cable has gone down. (Seems like a weekly occurance!)

Information:

Affected: ALL ADSL users wishing to access international traffic.
Fault: The fault has been attributed to fiber cut on the Seacom cable between Marseilles and Paris in Europe.
Seacom providers are currently working to restore the link.
ETA: Unknow

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused! Our Platinum business accounts will be running on SAT3 during this time, and should not be severely affected.

Kind regards
Keoma Wright
