 Can't believe it, have hardly used my IS account this month and whenever I have it has been f**king aweful. Sorry guys, this is just not acceptable. I will be taking my business elsewhere, even if I have to consort with the devil that is Telkom.

My international connection has been terrible all weekend. Local has been fine, but international has been on and off all day. *sigh*

I agree with you, im also very unhappy with the way IS is resolving it. I will however not give up so soon, IS is trying their best to resolve this very issue and I dont doubt them.

Bit more faith.

Business 512 ADSL unacceptable for business or home use now.

Now you jump from the pot(SAIX) into the fire(IS), patience is now gone.
Where is the IS Noticeboard anyone ?

Sorry Clipse, been hearing this for the last three months and each time I have relented, but not this time, not without some serious improvements before the end of the month, and I really mean serious, because the IS service simply has not lived up to its hype. I am a consumer after all.

aren't they implementing some new satellites in february? or what month was it..?

to those that are having problems: tried proxies..?

fair enough, at the end of the day everyone should decide where they want to put their money.

Im confident IS will resolve the issues within this week and definitely before end of the month. February is the launch of their 2 new satellite feeds.

Postmanpot: I have no idea just yet, but it would be great yeh.

I have to say, so far my IS connection has been working like a charm, have had no troubles this month or really in december either, even with the foul weather its still moving along internationally

Don't know if SAIX is really any better. Down here in the Western Cape, I don't bother with the internet during the day - I use it mainly for streaming (100k) TV and it can't be done - it's too unstable to watch during the day.

Isn't this just a matter of TELKOM opening up the bandwidth "tap" some more?

SA broadband for you!

Hmmm, perhaps I should wait before I sign up with the imaginet uncapped account then, bleh I dont know anymore :??

Is

I've been with IS for 7 days now. Surfing on SAIX is faster. However everything else on IS is better. P2P and skype work perfectly.

The only thing i noticed is that pings get very high during office hours, but other than that, I'm happy with IS.

SAIX seems to also have slow weeks, where international downloads are like 7kb via http on a 512 businessdsl line.

The whole point again as it has been said before. IS is SAIX's bitch, and SAIX is too expensive and shaped, so as South Africans we just have to bend again in 2006.

TwinDucT: i urge you to find a uunet uncapped reseller! very few around though. just try :)

PostmanPot: Lol , but I dont know where to start though. Oh well gonna go hunt :p ... I mean unless you have some insider info for me which you could PM :p
