IS international....

Yes, my IS international is down in CT also. Was working fine ten minutes ago. Bloody hell, Telkom won't authenticate, and now IS is dead internationally. Think I'm going to move to wireless...

Also down here in Randburg (JHB) at the moment... why does it always happen when you're in the middle of something important ?... :(

E-mail from IS....
I am not sure if this is just applicable to Cape Town?? Cant really be 'cause apparently our ADSL runs to Rosebank in JHB...

We are currently experiencing a major degradation of our IS International ADSL Service. One of three international links are down. Traffic is being rerouted and customers will experience a degraded performance. Our engineers are working to resolve the problem and are currently trouble-shooting a router issue.

Okes ... Phone IS and DEMAND to move over to the FIBRE instead of SATTELITE product. It's R1000 bucks more a month for an uncapped 1MB connection and I've not had one problem since moving. And .. it's reallyyyyyyyy fast.
[well .. until you all move to it anyways ... rofl]

I look at this thread with unfond memories ... now almost forgotten

Right now my IS service is working purrfectly.

Subject: [IS Restoration 17-7-2006 14:39] IS International ADSL Service issue resolved.

The major degradation of our IS International ADSL service has been resolved. Our vendor has extracted log and performance data from the router for further analysis. The router was then rebooted and the service has been restored.

Regards
The IS Ops Team.
