IS ISP 1024 LINE - 98KB/s - WOW

After complaining and moaning bitterly about the terrible throughput on our IS supplied 1024 ADSL line - I am currently downloading MS SQL Server SP4 from New York at 98KB/s. WOW. That's what I like to see.

The approx 50MB file averaged at 88.2 KB/s.
Sure- the content is probably cache'd - but - it's living up to it's 1024 promise.

Technically you should be getting a bit higher if the theoretical max of your line is 128KB/s...

Yea - but this is the uncapped deal and international is on their "yet to be upgraded" sattelite link, and - I am so far quite happy. This deal is knocking the carp out of the 512 diginet moneywise.
