Hi guys. They broke in at a fam member's house and did some shopping. Took the modem as well. They are not sure if it is copper or fiber and T told them a replacement will be optic modem at R2000. Can anybody confirm and suggest the cheapest solution until contract can be renewed.

So normal ADSL modem.

Person who sent me pics reckon top two points bigger than normal telephone point on bottom box

Reason for my question is that somebody mentioned they have optic but RJ45\11 connector from wall point to modem. Not sure if conversion unit is then powered via that cable

Ask them to send the pictures of the cable coming into the house, can even send you pictures from the outside to make your job easy, it should be the easiest thing in the world to tell if they have copper or fibre.
