Is it fixed (MWEB Related)?

Afrihost still failing here. 10kb/s

Might still actually be on SAT3. I did a visual trace route to a french server and it went from JHB to UK without going through France... SMW4 lands in Marseille and does not go to the UK afaik.

Are you with Mweb? What does it say when you use http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/visual-tracert/ [proxy trace to google.com]?

Yeah,

there you have TEData as well, should be seacom for you. My downloads are going at 350Kbs+ so my mweb is back too normal. Wonder how the other ISPs are doing, since I read here that its a manual process to switch back over. Must say my hat is off to Mweb for the way they handled a bad situation, had normal internet browsing 99% of the time!

Seems like a very round about way Europe

Awesome then!

Agreed, MWEB have been superb during the maintenance :)

Remember that this visual trace site first redirects to their server after leaving your host then goes to the actual destination. That's why it makes a stop in the US first.

MWEB - Just for clarity, our network is still not running its standard routing topology, however have enabled some additional alternate capacity which should improve performance to near nominal levels.

I guess so, SEACOMish seems the best way to describe it :D

TEDATA in egypt is involved in some way with Seacom.

@hambone, a move to Egypt on the cards for some good DSL? :D
