Because I dont like this new Fiesta... everyones raving about it, I think very ugly. Its kitch like a caricature of Pieter Dirk Uys and those big eye lashes!
Reading post on news24 and theres so many people going crazy for this thing....

Dont make this a VW vs Ford thread. I really think the old Fiesta and its "conservative looks made the car. Fords being very brave to go with this over the top design, guess theyll be going bankrupt soon as well.

I dont know i like it. Its kinda like a mixture of the new Mazda2 and the new Opel Corsa morphed into one with the fiesta shape.

i wish i could have it :(

Ye very good description its exactly that... shouldnt Ford have some DNA in their cars, all the BIG manufacturers have DNA in their designs that brand the cars, Like Mercs BMs and VWs they have a distinctness about them, even if you dont know your cars you know the brand... this doesnt look like a Ford imo... looks more like a Korean/Chinese car...
 
I think it looks damn good. Much nicer looking than a Polo, that's for shizzle.

i think the designers are running out of "new" ideas so they copy what is out there and try to make it look fresh and new....
I still want one though or the new Corsa 1.6 Sport....just a pity my boss wont give me a car allowance :(

Ja the Polo's are way too overrated. Dont like them at all and besides every second person on the road seems to have one and the base models have so few "xtras" like no electric windows etc. sooooo not worth their price imo.

I think it's damn nice car, and I have to agree, the polo is overrated or rather in this country, the VW brand is overrated... but this is not about Ford vs VW.

It's top of the range new Fiesta costs less than the Mazda 2 as well, plus the interior is much nicer than a Mazda 2.
 
The back looks good, but eish, the front does not do it for me.

I have been driving my wife's 2005 fiesta for few months now, it's extremely spunky and quick off the line for a 1.6.
 
So I leave for gym around 6 last night, and guess what I drive past... yip miss new Fiesta. I have a pic, but the HTC TD at dusk is like a VGA camera.

Evobunny, I think you will very embarrassed when you see that interior in real life!!:sick::sick:

all these "entry level" cars look the same...

well looks like they all took the same basics and worked up, as they all very similar looking... this just looks like the corsa-mazda-clio... etc

Exactly. Perhaps the headlights and taillights might be a bit different, and the interior, but it is as if they've all got the same basic 'template' from which they build. Must say, Honda is quite unique though.
