I'm in Parys, Free State, and have been battling for a week with my RAIN connection.

Ping: 709ms

This is typical of the last week.
I've don't like calling these people and waiting forever for an "agent" to become available.
A quick look on their site and I didn't see a spot for reporting issues.
After digging a little deeper I find an [email protected], so I write a nice email.
It bounces back, that address no longer exists.
A little later I find [email protected], I get an auto reply telling me that address is no longer monitored !!!
So why have it on the website.
So now I'm a little hacked off and dig down into the support area of the website.
Its all about accounting stuff, virtually zero on tech support.
Could this be because nothing ever goes wrong ?
Or maybe they're inundated with problems so they hide the links and hope everyone goes away ?
Or maybe they don't give a damm and just want to rake in the income ??
Eventually I find a spot to send a request but keep getting kicked out. presumably because the connection is so poor.
By this time my blood is boiling. And after a dozen attempts or so, the request is sent.
I get an email back from some dude asking or more info, miracles never cease.
I reply and get another mail with a link to some support db.
I'm logged into rains site but the link requests me to log in again.
I use my Rain user name and pwd, its not good enough, their website says its incorrect. WTF.
So I request a new password, maybe I forgot it in the five minutes since I last used it.
No email comes back with the link to reset it.
There's a link in a pop up to sign up for Rain CeC ( WTF...don't you just love acronym's that leave you guessing what they)
So I try to sign up for Rain CeC, (whatever it is), I get a polite message telling me my email address is already in use and to use my regular login !!!!! Which takes me back to where I was half an hour ago.
The only time I've experienced "support" of this caliber is at home affairs, or the local municipality.
Its less than worthless.
So, now my rant is finished, can anyone tell me if this is typical of Rain"s support.
And hopefully hand out some tips to get help, preferably without using their worthless website.
Cheers,
Let me go get a cold beer
