I can't see anything extraordinary there :/

Do you run directly through a router at home, or do you have a device in the middle?

Normal setup is router - mikrotik - switch - wifi ap. But also sometimes use a separate router to bypass all that and connect wired directly to it. still gave the same issue last night.

perhaps I should try with a different adsl account??

Naa, ADSL Accounts shouldn't matter. It should be pinging 41.170.64.65, but it doesn't. It might be a mac issue (virtualbox wouldn't work unless your interface is on bridge mode).

Let me take a look at my code haha,

Z :)

hi

been having problems with telkom for quite over 1 month now
they send someone and after 3 days problem comes back, problem is the phone starts crackling and not long after modems shows the sync isnt stable anymore and poof line drops but comes back after 30sec

this happens about 4 times a day while im busy on the computer..They even started telling me the problem is with me and not the line
the SNR down drops at times to a low of 3.0-3.9 and starts peaking to normal again..never stable

any suggestions what could be going on here

Hey!

Do you have a POTS filter on your phone line? Crackling definitely points to something being up...
