Is it safe to order from MIA?

A friend just ordered a Xiaomi Redmi 10 pro from MIA. I would have preferred the Takealot route due to fast turn around time and their swap out policy for the xiaomi. Has anyone here ordered from them? What is the ETA and return policy like?
 
mia.africa.com ? Sure yes. It is as official as it gets. Have ordered from them before and got delivery quite quickly. Ordered on the 1st and got delivery via SkyNet on the 3rd. No experience with returns yet though.
 
All my MIA orders were delivered next day and never had to return anything, so can't speak to that..

I bought my device from and other items many times from them. Good service and delivery within 2-3 days. Not sure about returns. You can also contact them on whatsapp.
 
My 2c I ordered the note 10 pro from takealot it was delivered very quickly.
The problems started a few months later when using the selfie camera in whatsapp or other 3rd party apps it would crash and stop responding and the camera would not work until the phone was reset.
I tried to go straight to MIA to get it repaired but got shocking service. The technical line does not get answered so I tried customer care when it was answered I was told to whatsapp that number which did not get a reply until I asked again.
The story does end happily I logged a return on takealot the phone was collected and I was refunded shortly after.

You bought it from Takealot not MIA, so why did you bypass Takealot and expect MIA to offer support?

When I eventually got hold of MIA they did offer support however I was hoping to avoid the delay of the phone being collected by takealot then sent to MIA if I could get support from MIA directly.
I was very surprised that takealot refunded me so quickly.

I bought my last 3, including current (note 10 pro), Xiaomi phones from them. Legit indeed.

They shortened it because westerners found Xiaomi difficult to spell, its in a documentary on Youtube but I don't have the link right now.
 
I have ordered a few times from them, first time my order disappeared but the device was delivered. The last order they delivered to me was the wrong item, a screen protector. They didn't answer the phone numbers listed, didn't respond to email's and only replied to Whatsapp's the next day. I then had to prove the item they sent was wrong, this took 4 days for them to admit they actually don't have stock of the item I ordered. Then another 4 days to receive a refund, they only refunded the item price, not delivery. Took another 4 days for them to admit that yes they were wrong so I should not have to carry the cost of delivery and eventually got a refund for that as well, after mentioning CPA. Delivery service good, after sales not so good for my 1 issue.

ive ordered before , no issues.
