Should be fine, it will run better than W7 at least because of the added support for memory compression. I think your issues will probably be e.g. YT playback you can't do 1440p.
 
Tell her you're going to have to put it on your insurance and ask if there's any reason why you shouldn't be giving them the serial number.
 
Do a HD recovery and see what pops up.
Use it as a streaming device.

So will now see how it goes, remote support just need to reinstall the drivers and windows again to make sure everything is good.

I'm also a huge Dell fan, BUT recently there has been some issues, that have pushed some of my big clients back to Hp, even though Hp is vastly overpriced.

Dell notebooks has this new stupid "clip" design on the ethernet port that keeps on breaking. Hp has done the same, but theirs feel sturdier somehow.

Then, according to 2 Dell techs we've had onsite, they are now replacing components on notebooks and desktops with refurbished stuff. This includes MB's...

So who know where this will end up?

In all honesty that's probably the cost of the laptop, is the charger the most expensive part? As you can get 256gb SSDs for R500. Also for something of that spec, put on ubuntu.
 
We had a Dell stolen a couple weeks back, similar laptop has now appeared at local pawn shop.
It now has a sticker on it with serial no not recognized by Dell 72587679966

How would you even begin to prove it might be our stolen unit?
