Is it worth it?

Is it worth it to pay R2200 (bulb only) or R3300 (with casing) for a projector that's already almost 2 years old when the excess is R1500 regardless if I claim a new projector or the two amounts above.

How long can I expect a Hitachi projector to last.

Hitachi is a well respected Japanese brand. I'd rate it above Samsung, Acer and the others.
They export and a big in domestic sales so you can expect the projector to last long, although
the bulb is another issue.
