Is java or oracle developer certificate better?

Hi all

I have just completed my Bsc in IT and deciding on what certificate to do to boost my chances for employment,
could you'll please advice me if i should do java or oracle developer certificate,or something else in the development field and which is of high demand in south Africa

I just have a degree in IT

i really like doing programming

My advice is you have to decide if you want to be a Java or Oracle developer, and once you made that choice, then you certify in that route. In my view it is best to become an expert in one of the two, and not both, as the chance that you will full time work in both is slim. Beter become an expert in one, than half expert in both.

I was thinking that it may make sense to do your Hons. Do you feel that you need an additional Java or Oracle Certificate after your degree? It seems like something easy to self teach - or at least something you can convince a potential employer that you can learn on the job.
