With Marcus its quite different as it was such a public death, anyone could have walked past and witnessed it and the paramedic attempt. His body will be in the morgue still if anyone wants to check.

who told you its really him? what if they found a stiff somewhere else, dressed him in a suit and said thats Jooste.
how would you know, after all if Joosete fled the country discreetly and hiding somewhere with no extradition treaty,
and had a team of people help him, they would obviously find some way to secure the body.

why is it mind blowing? our president hides USD's in couches, and claims to be poor.
our ministers go after Bikini Girls on beaches for not wearing a mask, while rapists run around freely.

100% this, we live in practically an open Country, anything allowed as long as you don't cause too much trouble to the police/authorities.
surprised its been allowed to go on this long, SA should have been sanctioned to hell and back long ago.

There were rumours and some proof as well that she had the local police and detectives on her payroll for years.

I think the question is, if he did kill himself - why didn't he just fake his death instead ? Perhaps all the things he did really did bother him.
Perhaps all the money was gone... and the friends became enemies.

It looks to be a spur of the moment thing, like he had all that pressure on him and something just tipped him over.

Its still mind blowing, Weather its the president, minister or cop or average Joe taking a bride.. the sheer culture of corruption is mind blowing....it doesn't make it less corruption because its being done by people in less influential positions.

Haha yeah, a multimillionaire businessman just kills himself over pressure. I don't believe it for a second personally. I would fake my own death as well if I was in his shoes, it's the logical thing to do. Get a new passport, plastic surgery and appearance alteration and take a flight to the EU - after paying everybody who is involved in the faking of my death handsomely to keep their mouths shut.

I think it's entirely possible that they could have faked this but like I said - his body is still in the morgue so anyone can check.
A logical way to do this is one where there is no body or one that can't be identified.

A fiery plane crash is always nice, lost at sea is also great. All those options but he chooses to go to a public beach where anyone can go scrape his brains off the beach and do their own tests.

why is it mind blowing? are people in power somehow incorruptible? no they are still the same people, no matter how many polygraph tests they take, and no matter how many avidavits they sign, people will still look out for themselves and their families.

so for this dude to throw around some money, sounds about what Id do, maybe even worse.
 
Other - Undecided / not sure.
A - He has enough money & a narcissistic streak to pull a Thabo Bester move.
B - The pressure, maybe depression got to him and he decided to kill himself.

I saw something last night that claims he was a dollar billionaire at some point.

The means were there for certain.

lets not complicate things, Who said people in power are incorruptible? Is this a rhetorical question? And the essence of my reply was that we are a very corrupt society.
