I just got an email thanking me for my "Decoder Care Contract (DCC) activation". I never ordered any such thing, it ha apparently been slipped in as part of the April price increase.

This smacks of an illegal transaction.

No, but they are showing an outstanding amount to be paid 2 May, but I've not received an invoice.

Statement shows zero balance,
no outstanding transactions,
Balance shows 30.45 apparently raised out of thin air.

decoder insurance is for dstv client to ask for. it is not activated automatically.
But if they did activate it, u can cancel by calling 0112892222.
