IS must goto hell

Is it just me, am i cursed? But has the internet seriously taken a dive for the worst in SA? Sites do not open as quickly as they use to, local and international. Though ping times are fine, browsing is a bloody f'n terrible! Currently downloading at 0.5kb/s off the IS news server.

Its really up and down over here too... seems to be fine at the moment, but wouldnt be surprised if it slows down again

AFAIK there's some cable break at Rosebank or somewhere else and that might be what's causing your problems. I havent had any problems lately, to be honest browsing ect has much better than the previous few months.

the joy of IS! we have it at work, it is the most unrealiable internet I have ever seen, dial-up is more reliable I am glad I have SAIX at home

If it makes you guys feel better, international is extremly slow and some international doesn't even work at all currently and I'm on 56k.

Nope ... mine is crawling ... was up and down is about 8:30 last night ... I dont think I have had one trouble free month since I was with IS, only reason I saty with them is they not telkom.

Mine has been fine since I got it. Only day was the day that everyone had problems with the line break. But after that they it's been good again.
