I can't get on to Downstorm with my mweb connection, but if I use a proxy (hidemyass.com) I can, so theres nothing wrong on DownStorms side, it has to be mweb.

Can anyone access downstorm.co.za on mweb, or any other ISP, if you can please say which one.

I have rebooted my router 3 times...

i'm being blocked too!

been robooting like crazy in the past hour.

when i connect via Axxess, downstorm is fine.

it was a great run with downstorm while it lasted.

if they keep blocking it i will cancel mweb and move to axxess.

Downstorm works fine like 25 minutes ago with my Mweb account, and suddenly it won't open again. But download still works (speed various though due to the outage).

Down for me, but accessible via a cgi proxy.

MWeb is currently shaping p2p heavily because of one of their international links is down. They are probably blocking downstorm too because of this outage.

my speeds went from 420 to 80kb/s when the sites was blocked and now i have downloads waiting for me and i cant access them..

This issue was related to the international link that's been giving issues throughout the day. Users were not able to connect to us either... Hopefully this will all be sorted out by tomorrow! :) I see we're all back up again, but I'm still expecting some 'wishy-washy' downtime the rest of the night. :|

Joey, we get it, you dont like Mweb, please watch the swearing man

+1

Joey you signed up for a shaped package and that is what you got, so what is the problem. If you need unshaped get the business package.

Tried those channels already - i spoke to 4 telkom idiots today - but thanks for the suggestion Bradz. Perhaps tomorrow will be better - i hold absolutely no hope though.

Out of interest.....what is your http source? Hosted private website with source files or like rapidshare?

i just crapped out almost R2000 today for MWEB and telkom etc etc and what sort of service am i getting????
people should know what they get themselves into dont you think?

Agreed - Internet in SA - 3.2 Mbps not even 4 Mbps is still ridiculously expensive and MWEB doesn't know what is happening on their network, when it works - disgusting if you ask me - total ripoff, if you rely on connectivity for your work.

MWEB should stick to dial up they good at messing that up...
