This morning i got slow connection I reboot the router I have the subnet mask
255.255.255.255 Is this the new one?

The old one was 255.255.255.255, ask them to rather put you on 255.255.255.255 or 255.255.255.255 otherwise try the 255.255.255.255 one.

A PPPOE connection is point to point, you have an ip, the server has an ip. Your subnet mask is always 255.255.255.255.

Check for viruses
Check your telkom signal
Check your ping times
Check speedtest
Try another ISP see if it makes a difference

Likely scenario if your adsl connection is fine and you don't have virii could be a congested exchange.

It depends, what was the old one?

Lol don't be mean.

A subnet mask of 255.255.255.255 means that there is only one IP on that subnet, which will be your router's external IP. I would be worried if they hand out anything other than 255.255.255.255 on dynamic IP products as it will put you on the same subnet as other users.

Hi Alex,

As per my inbox message on FB, our technical specialist will be contacting you.

I seriously doubt that, your internal network is most likely 255.255.255.0

Anyway whatever it is won't affect your speed.

did affect my speed(the speed like turtle climb tree.) my old external Should be 255.255.255.0

So explain to me in your infinite wisdom how a subnet mask is going to affect your speed?

Also this is a mostly English forum

I said I don't know how.I came up for help but I was wrong I came to the wrong place.in the other blog they also say normally wont affect the speed but if my speed like it than I have to ask my ISP.

and I did try my best to type english. But You ask too much. finding bone in an egg. Mr perfect
