I do have Mweb broadband ADSL but im not getting more than 30 KBs download speed cus of my lines being to OLD says hellcom.... is that fast enough to play on our local MW2 servers??

Thanks

First of all, there isn't any servers for MW2 locally, it works on a P2P system, where it selects the player with the best connection as the host, and then the other players connect to him. With a download speed of that nature, I don't think you'll have any problems, on my 384k I max out on 39.5 and I play without any lag. It all depends on the host of course, but the majority of games I have played didn't have any real lag issues, so I think you'll be fine. :)

Yea i know about the P2P but i also saw we have a steam CoD MW2 comunity with 1000 people... so it sould be faster when somebody in SA creates a server souldnt it? (BTW i think infinity ward will get sick of all the complaints and create a dedicated server thing... (ive been sending Telkom like 2-3 E-Mails a day to tell them to come fix my line!!!!! cus im paying for better speeds...

anyways thanks

You're probably better off with 384kbps internet. It's enough to play the game as a client, but not enough to host.

The system shouldn't select you to host, which is a good thing if you don't like using a few hundred megabytes an hour to play a game.
