Hi Guys.

Arf9999 says he is having an issue with my website being dead slow ... just wondering if anyone else is getting the same issue.

The conversation will be moved here shortly from Hardware Bargains.

Just switched over to my 384k telkom acc and it seems to be fine ... pages loading actually quicker then the iburst ... about 8-9 seconds uncached and 1 - 3 seconds cached.

Great stuff ... thanks guys :) ... it seems Arf is having an isolated incedent ... now to just figure out what the issue is so I can hopefully prevent it from happening with anyone else.

Any other ideas Arf? My site is hosted internationally ... how fast are other international sites loading for you?

Iburst yikes, why do you have iburst if you have telkom?

We had Iburst until last month ... we got the Telkom mid last month ... this is the last month of the iburst, and want to use up the cap so that we don't have to waste money on ADSL cap this month. From the end of this month ... no more iburst :)

Any idea what I can do with 6GB which I still have ... torrents are too slow, and news servers don't work :p

I'm pulling my hair out..

Other int sites seem ok... cnn, hulu etc... Maybe it's a DNS routing issue.... I'll try use the SAIX proxy and see if it improves..

Okay, changed to SAIX proxy cache.saix.net rather than the transparent proxy and the site is MUUUCH faster. Sorry for the panic :)

Awesome stuff :) No worries, thanks for letting me know though ... cause if it was something on the server I would've needed to sort it out ASAP.

I just saw your PM now by the way and replied. Was in an exam when you sent it :p ... but there wasn't a notification in my email

With iburst ... always tells me I have lost my timeframe to download and rubbish like that, can't even get the download link after the timer finsihes :p

if you can use torrents then thats probably the best!
Just find popular(seeders) movies

My fastest torrent speed with iburst is like 5kb / sec :p
I've given up on them.

You guys know of any awesome downloads via HTTP? Nice freeware games or so.

Yikes 6 gb of slow bandwidth hahaha, write it off as a loss and think ADSL yay.

Use uTorrent and set encryption to enabled or forced, it helps on ADSL too, but torrents should work fine on iBurst then.

Also rapidshare should work with iBurst, I was irritated when I got ADSL and rapidshare no longer worked (coming from iBurst). Just make sure that under advanced options you chose a level(3) server.

Otherwise you can get most things from megaupload, sharebee, mediafire and lots of other sites like rapidshare. They all work for my friends on iBurst.

What do you guys think of a Digital Addiction toolbar for IE and FF? It will allow you to search google, search DA, read the DA Twitter, (If I can get it working, scroll the DA SPecials) and let you see when you have emails on the free ones. Would any of you use it?

Well deploy it dude, nothing wrong with it and while i use FF to google and i do not tweet i may not be the best oke to ask hehe.
