As I need to re-install XP on my PC I am contemplating moving to Windows 7
Are the following applications compatible with Windows 7:

* Office 2000
* Office 2000 VBA
* Visual Basic 6

Many thanks

Try installing Windows7 on a virtual PC and see what happens should you install Office2000 and other stuff.

If it works on Vista it *should* work on 7... But YMMV...

I actually have Office XP 60 day trail still at home, along with a Office 2000 OEM package and Office 2003/2007 - get them for cheap thru my work's MS Home Use Program...

Watch the licensing with that if you leave your current employer.

I don't think they are supported, not even Office 2003. But Windows 7 has an excellent XP mode, which will run in great if you have 2 gigs RAM and a processor that supports VT. What processor do you have?

Alright your processor supports VT. You must have Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate to run Windows XP Mode.

Do you have a legal copy of WindowsXP lying around?

If so, then grab virtualbox, install XP and use that if you can't use WindowsXP mode.

Visual Basic 6.0 worked in the 7100 beta release of Windows 7 32 bit. I know I tried...

I've just seen a very cheap 2nd hand copy of Office 2007 Home/Student. PM me and I'll tell you which shop.
