Anyone else having issues with IS? Its kuk slow on my side?

slow trying to get a rapidshare link 0 bytes to 1KB spikes
 
is fiber fine by my side....

...must be bird poo on satellite ?
 
Yip, line is fine.

I think Necuno is right, must be bird poo on their satellites. Either that, or they running out of bandwidth again and need to make more upgrades
 
Taking ages to load local sites, wikipedia is not loading at all

Very bad today. Shocking in fact.
Almost unusable at times, and then fast.Also some ports seem to be going on and off.
 
You mean "*** SLOW" is not the normal behaviour ?

Please stop joking around.. if it is truly ever not *** slow I would like to see documented proof!
 
This page took about 3 minutes to load . My word, but IS has to be the worst ISP in regards to reliability in South Africa. Its worth it to pay for the expensive Telkom bandwidth.

nah - SLOW is normal.
I am surprised re: the FAST times in and amongst.
:p
 
Update:

Apparently IS are doing upgrades - nice of them to inform us and carry out the upgrades during office hours - and are supposed to have them completed by Friday

Seems they are ALWAYS upgrading. One of these days, perhaps an "upgrade" will actually result in better quality. There is always hope, I suppose.
