IS or SAIX for better latency

I'm currently using IS for my cap and I have a average latency of about 700 when playing WOW which is quite high. So I was wondering if i rather use SAIX will my latency improve? I'm playing on a 512 line(telkom) on EU (twilight's hammer) server.

Also what latency do u guys get with your connection? Which ISP/CAP is best for playing wow (EU)

SAIX is better although IS now also sells SAT 3 ADSL accounts, which should make them the same latencies.

I have mine from SAIX though...just because I always have and getting a nice price from Webafrica

Shaped SAIX gets about 350-400ms to overseas servers.

Unshaped SAIX has always just felt so much better.

If the indians I live with doesn't DOWNLOAD CONSTANTLY ON TORRENTS, I'd actually enjoy a ping of < 200ms. But mine averages 440ms even with torrents downloading and no packet drops or lag spikes..

I'd suggest moving country...

Like I posted on the other latency thread, IS latency is slightly higher than SAIX for me (Cape Town).

The game is unplayable on shaped in my opinion. Forget about raid healing or PVP on shaped.

Does IS not use satelite? In which case it will always be slower than Saix using undersea cables.
Satelite signal need to travel ~30 000 km while sea signal travel ~10 000 km, both travel at about 0.6 x speed of light. We did the calculations for this a year ago somewhere on the forum, but if I recall the speed via satelite would be ~250ms while via sea cable about 150ms.
The speed is further delayed through the bad infrastructure used in the different technologies.
