Is Sentech 1GB = 1024MB or 1000MB

1 Gig IS 1024 MB no matter what sentech says

but i assume you're talking about hitting your cap? i've hit 10 200 Meg without getting a phone call so i think they at least know the definition of a Gig

That's what i thought. But, accourding to the SI definition, a gigabyte is 10^9 bytes. Apparently a gibibyte (short GiB) is the proper term for what you are referening to.

Check it out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigabyte

This is from their site:

MyWireless flexi 1000 24 month R 549 FREE DATA ALLOCATION (MB) 1024

I used to do over 30gig when it first came out O_O

Was on 256k when it was oh so stable!

Look, 1GB is 1024MB. The idea that 1GB is 1000MB is from n00bs who think they know, when they don't. You would be just as well of asking if Sentech's 1GB isn't perhaps 980MB? Or 1100MB?

I don't even think the poopols at Sentech can count to 1, let alone know the difference beween 1000 and 1024.
