Is Smtp

Hey everyone.

For the past month I haven't been able to send emails via my IS SMTP.

My settings are as follow, unchanged for ages:
smtp.isdsl.net
port 25
No secure connection
no username and password.

I'm using Thunderbird 2.0.0.9
It simply goes "Connected to smtp.isdsl.net" then nothing happens and then it says it's timed out.
I can send emails through my Gmail SMTP so I know my Thunderbird works.

I'm using an Mweb account.

Open up a dos box and run "telnet smtp.isdsl.net 25"

you should see "220 smtp01.isdsl.net ESMTP Exim 4.68 Thu, 13 Dec 2007 13:18:16 +0200"

Otherwise you have something blocking it

Is anyone else having these problems?
 
If you can do a manual connection then its not the network, its your mail client or something. did you connect successfully with the telnet app.
