I have been trying to learn to code, but honestly it is impossible as I am driving around all day every day now. Problem is, by the time I get back to the computer, I forgot what the lesson was about.

Are there other ways to earn a living on a computer, or is this the only way forward?

Sorry but this just doesn’t sound like a real problem - which is the theme of your threads in this sub forum.

You learn by sitting at the computer doing programming…..

you are doing the lesson at the computer.

Have you signed up for and completed something like freecodecamp?

You said in other threads that you can write Java, C# and more.

Everyone wants to be a software developer because they think the money is good but if you don't enjoy software development you will never put in the hours you need to keep up.

So if you are already not eager to get home and code some stuff its going to be a hard career for you. There are other options, the easiest is probably to look at courses on Udemy or one of the others for something you think you will find interesting.

Exactly this.
I code to relax... legit. Sunday afternoon bored? I try something new out. Some new algorithm, whatever

Streaming, writing, graphic design, 3D modelling, general office work... plenty of options if you want to sit at a computer all day.

Programming is the way forward if you enjoy and/or are good at programming. If you're neither good at it, nor enjoy it, I doubt you should do it. I clicked with it in the first few hours of trying it - if you've been spending weeks trying to force it, it probably ain't gonna happen.
