IS super shaping torrents ?

anyone getting 'good' speeds out of torrents these days ?

- i hardly seems to surpass the 25KBps line
 
Well, using a local torrent network, with IS, I only get 2-12k/s, even if there are a 100 peers, but when I switched to SAIX last nite, D/l shot straight to max line speed, so I guess they are shaping.
 
Same here, why don't we ask them... oh wait they don't have anyone on here who can talk on behalf of the company. But yes they are, without a doubt.
 
If MrBeep has closed down his unshaped proxy server - and IS is being so difficult...why dont a few of us group up and make our own socks5 server and share the costs?

How difficult is it?

It could run on an IS local-only account for local P2P.
Whoever connects to the proxy gets their traffic routed directly to their peers. There is no need for international connectivity.
Would need a server on a backbone somewhere with lots of cheap bandwidth.
