I have noticed that things have gone a little bit quite around here these days concerning Telkom complaints and I was wondering whether Telkom's service level have improved or has most people moved over to fibre? That "I hate Telkom" thread seems to have disappeared. Nowadays the concern seems to be more about choosing ISP's and stuff like that. There is still an odd complaint now and then but nothing hectic it seems.

Personally I haven't had a single fault with my adsl since it was installed five years ago but I have seen countless complaints about Telkom on this forum before.

it would be very interesting to hear from others regarding their experience

Many people have just rage quitted and moved to other alternatives.

Telkom's lack of service has become normal now. The only thing they doing right is LTE it seems. Maybe its part of their strategy to get people off wired connections - if it is, its working. I just can't bring myself to get their LTE offering. I am prepared to pay more just to be rid of them.

They are really not completely useless. After dozens of unresolved complaints, I tracked down a senior national executive. Four months after originally ordering/complaining, the order issues were resolved.
