Hi

I have a 10gig soft cap acc with Telkom on a 4meg line. FTP downloads average around 400kB/s. Its just the P2P thats dead slow.......sometimes around 100B/s. Torrents have alot of seeders so thats not an issue. Does the same on my pc and android app. Anyone else having an issue with this?

Telkom give P2P the lowest priority during peak traffic periods but I don't have a problem with it.

Yesterdays traffic graph (mainly torrents, all finished just after midnight), TI 4meg uncapped: Traffic.jpg

Yes, my 20GB soft cap account has been dead with torrents for at least two months.

I will test on nightsurfer times and see if theres any difference with speeds. Seems like they giving prority to only certain protocols.......and P2P is not one of them. Thanks......will update

Same here. The speed during the day on P2P is horrible. The night surfer is a seasonal effect. Been like this since start of November. My night surfer was around 100gb last month. On 20+20 capped

On the 20+20 account (6Mbps), torrents are literally dead during the day. I do tend to see pretty close to line speed after midnight though.

TI is most definitely not for torrenting during the day. It a shame though, imo traffic on a capped account should never be throttled.
