any ISP here can offer me a 10 minutes test account for IS.I want to test VoIP on IS shaped compared to SAIX shaped,I am on SAIX at the moment and it is crap

If IS is better then I am changing cause I need to talk to family that have just left for the states

IS is unshaped dd1313, so it would be comparing IS unshaped vs SAIX shaped. I dont have a demo account for you unfortunately but I do tests nearly every few hours each day (lol ye im boring) anyways, the difference is huge.. IS is crystal clear, saix shaped is not.
 
So you 3GB ADSL @ R210 is unshaped -thats wonderful....

Thanks MrBeep offered me a test account and yes IS is better that SAIX on VoIP.

Anyone can offer me a 10 minutes test on a SAIX unshaped to see which is better

unshaped on SAIX for VoIP is the way to go - try this, go to www.testyourvoip.com conserve speach quality and post your results, I use an unshaped SAIX account and am sitting on 4.4 almost all the time.

Then try it with your shaped account :(

When someone does the IS test, please post the results.
 
IS ADSL Results:

Boston speech test: 4.2-4.4
London speech test: 4.0-4.2

SAIX Shaped ADSL Results:

Boston speech test: 1.0-1.2
London speech test: 1.0-1.2



See the difference? :)

I always get an error on these tests--says firewall but I have turned it off and still get the message..
 
yep had the same error dd1313 on the shaped saix, just havta retry, its just another example of the unreliability of voip over shaped saix, test only works now and then.

Saix unshaped gets the same as IS for me, 4.0-4.2
 
Yup makes a huge difference on shaped saix, for those of you wanting to stay with SAIX.
 
just for the record, iburst, with their siff shaping gets this:

Hi Clipse

Are you saying that if I go for PayVPN with you on a shaped SAIX I should get better..If so can you offer me a 10 minute trial, I was with FreeVPN but never tested VoIP with it.

Will PayVPN work on Sentech?

I'm on 256k package, and get a 1.8 score to London, and a 1.2 to Boston on the VOIP test.
