Is the Nintendo Wii U worth buying?

Watch these two vids in HD and tell me honestly what you think. The PS4 version is 20% more expensive to boot...
Oh... and online play costs $$ on PS / Xbox. It's free on Wii U.
And what makes you think the Wii U only has Mario, Yoshi and similar kiddy-type games going for it?

Oh... and Wii U is backward compatible with Wii, so if there are a bunch of good older games you want to play, there's no need for a second console.

Wtf do I know, let the company's numbers speak for itself. They're running into exactly the same schitty problems that the ran into with the N64 - using previous gen hardware, resulting in limitations, and chasing second-party devs away to the competition as a result. Except with the N64 their fail was persisting with cartridges...

It's just one opinion. If you ask me, their trouble is the hunger for $60 titles not far off the back of a recession. IMO these companies should quit concentrating on new hardware and open up a wider door and profit channel to devs. Personally I think people are still good with PS3/Xbox/Wii.
