Is there a platform agnostic chat app

I have friends and colleagues on Google chat, BBM , WhatsApp, Windows chat, Facebook messenger platforms etc which is a pain. Is there a platform agnostic chat app/service out there one can use where you link all you chat apps into one.

I used to use xabber, know it works for fb and google, not so sure now.....

There used to be, but now people like Whatsapp don't allow it.

Why is it a problem to have all the apps installed?

Its a bundle on limited memory devices installing 10 diffrent apps,
Most i can do is say 3
Also nicer to be able to see whos online accross platforms....

There is Disa.im which has third-party plugins for Whatsapp and facebook.. I currently use it for a 2nd WhatsApp number.
