Is there a UPS with Timers built-in?

I'm looking for some UPSs or a method of doing the following:

Mon-Fri 7am-6pm : If the power drops, UPS should intervene as necessary
Outside of those times: UPS should do NOTHING and just let the power drop but don't try to power anything on it.

I know its against what a UPS should do as it should always intervene but we don't run our generator after hours at the office and I don't want the UPSs getting drained to 0 unecessarily.

You could put a Tuya type smart socket or switch on the load side of the UPS - and use the scheduled timer feature.

You will still have the UPS self-consumption but maybe that's low enough.

Hmmm. not a bad idea. I assume Shelly Switch would do the same? Definitely not pulling near 16A anywhere so should be ok.

Yeah unless, I can try to get a shelly switch to solder onto the power button of the UPS? I just don't want to burn the office down though

I run a Sonoff Pow3R switch on the output of my MUST UPS unit and it works like a bomb! I wouldn't go and fiddle with switches on the power button of the UPS unit to be honest - too much chance that something could go wrong.

Hmm ok. So sounds like that is the best option...
